Description
GE IC200MDL740
Technical Specifications & Performance Parameters: Operating with an external auxiliary power supply ranging from 10.2 to 30 VDC, the module consumes only 45 mA from the 5V backplane. Each of the 16 points is rated for 0.5 Amperes. The response time is exceptionally fast, with a maximum of 0.2 ms for the “on” state and 1.0 ms for the “off” state. The peak output voltage drop is merely 0.3 V, with a maximum leakage of 0.5 mA at 30 VDC.
Functional Features: The module supports hot insertion, allowing for quick replacement without altering field wiring. Status LEDs indicate device operation and are powered independently of the output load. It requires an external suppression circuit when driving inductive loads to protect the transistor outputs.
Application Scenarios: Extensively used in general factory automation, conveyor control, and machine logic where reliable 24VDC switching is required. It is compatible with IC200CHS series plug-in relay bases for flexible integration.
Installation Requirements & Usage Notes: When operating at 12 VDC, users must ensure they have the IC200MDL740B or higher version. Because the module lacks internal fuses or channel-to-channel isolation, external circuit protection and proper load management are mandatory. A 2-Ampere shorting bar is recommended on the B terminal for enhanced bus connectivity.
