Material and Structural Characteristics:
- Industrial-grade PCB with precision analog front-end components
- Plug-in module form factor matching UR relay chassis
- Front-panel accessible through hinged relay front cover
- Robust construction for substation and industrial environments
Working Principle: The module receives analog signals from connected sensors (RTDs, transducers), conditions and digitizes them, and transmits the data to the UR relay CPU over the internal backplane. The CPU uses this data for protection functions (such as transformer thermal overload), metering, and diagnostic monitoring. Health diagnostics continuously verify the integrity of the analog input circuits. Installation Requirements:
- Open the hinged front panel of the UR relay to access the module rack
- Insert the UR8FH module into the designated sensor I/O slot
- Connect field wiring from sensors to the rear terminal blocks per schematics
- Configure input types and scaling using EnerVista UR software
- Verify signal accuracy during commissioning
Usage Notes:
- Verify sensor type compatibility (RTD, transducer) before wiring
- Use shielded twisted-pair cabling for analog signals to minimize noise
- Configure input scaling and filtering using EnerVista UR software
- Periodically verify calibration of analog inputs
- Replace only with an identical UR8FH module to maintain configuration integrity
