Description
Honeywell 51306673-100 EPNI
Technical Specifications Dual 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet ports; auto MDI/MDIX negotiation; backplane 24VDC supply; isolation voltage 2500VAC between Ethernet and LCN side; support TCP/IP, UDP and Honeywell proprietary LCN-over-IP protocols; operating temperature -20℃ to 70℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃; humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing; built-in CRC packet check.
Functional Features It converts proprietary LCN network frames into standard Ethernet IP packets and vice versa. It supports redundant dual network links with automatic failover when one cable or switch fails. It performs packet filtering and restricts unauthorized IP traffic from reaching the LCN control network. It monitors link state, packet error rate and module internal health. It uploads network fault alarms to the LCN operator station. It supports on-line parameter configuration of IP address and subnet mask.
Application Scenarios Connecting TDC3000 LCN nodes to plant Ethernet in refineries; linking legacy TPS system to OPC historians and MES servers; redundant Ethernet access for new operator workstations; cross-network data exchange between TDC3000 and third party PLC systems.
Performance Parameters Dual link failover time is below 50ms; packet forwarding latency is deterministic for real time alarm transmission; port traffic counters support network diagnostics; link state detection is continuous.
Material Composition Multi-layer FR4 flame retardant PCB with conformal coating; shielded RJ45 connectors with built-in ESD protection; industrial Ethernet PHY and processor chips; gold plated backplane contacts; cold rolled steel front panel.
Structural Characteristics Standard TDC3000 vertical plug-in long card; front panel houses two RJ45 Ethernet ports plus power, link, activity and fault LEDs; elastic locking latches on both sides; fool-proof keying prevents insertion into incompatible slots; passive cooling design.
Working Principle LCN frames arriving from the LCN backplane are received by the EPNI. The module decodes proprietary LCN protocol, repackages process data into UDP/IP or TCP frames and transmits them through the RJ45 ports to the Ethernet network. Inbound Ethernet packets are unpacked and converted to LCN frames for delivery to LCN nodes. The link monitoring circuit continuously samples both ports and triggers redundancy switchover when a link failure is detected.
Installation Requirements Install in the dedicated EPNI slot of a TDC3000 LCN node rack. Use shielded industrial grade Ethernet cables with single point shield grounding. Separate control Ethernet from office network by firewall or VLAN. Route network cables away from high power AC cables. Cabinet grounding resistance ≤4Ω.
Usage Notes Do not connect the LCN control network directly to the public Internet. Verify IP address plan before configuration to avoid address conflict. The module is an end-of-life spare part; replacement must use the identical Honeywell part number. Wear anti-static wrist strap when handling the card.
