Honeywell 51309254-325

Product Introduction This high-power rack power supply module is an upgraded switching power supply unit for Honeywell TDC3000 UCN I/O racks. Revision 325 increases the total output power and optimizes the thermal design. It converts AC input into stable 5V DC and 24V DC isolated power supply for UCN racks with high I/O point density. It supports racks with large quantity of analog input and output cards, pulse acquisition cards and digital output cards. It integrates comprehensive protection functions and fault diagnosis circuit. It is widely used for high-load I/O racks in chemical reactors, furnace control and safety interlock systems. It can be used in redundant parallel configuration.

Honeywell 51309254-325

Technical Specifications Input Voltage: 100V AC to 240V AC, 50Hz / 60Hz Output 1: 5V DC, maximum 18A Output 2: 24V DC, maximum 10A Total Rated Power: 160W Power Efficiency: ≥89% Operating Temperature Range: 0℃ to 65℃ Storage Temperature Range: -40℃ to 85℃ Isolation Withstand Voltage: 1500V AC Relative Humidity: 5% to 95%, non-condensing

Functional Features It provides two groups of high-power isolated DC power outputs for the rack digital logic and analog field loop circuits. It adopts active power factor correction circuit to reduce harmonic pollution. It continuously monitors output voltage, output current, internal temperature and fan running state. It triggers rapid protection and cuts off output when overvoltage, overcurrent, short-circuit or over-temperature fault occurs. It sends multi-level pre-fault alarm signals to the IOP module for early warning. It supports hot swap in redundant power configuration. It has enhanced surge absorption circuit to resist grid voltage spikes.

Application Scenarios Power supply for high-density UCN I/O racks with large number of analog and pulse measurement channels. Power supply for safety interlock I/O racks with high quantity of digital output solenoid valve drive points. Redundant power configuration for key control racks of reactors and cracking furnaces. Replacement and upgrade of low-power 51309252 series power supply modules.

Performance Parameters Output Voltage Regulation Accuracy: ±1.5% Ripple and Noise: ≤40mV peak to peak Overvoltage Protection Threshold: 5.8V DC for 5V channel, 27.5V DC for 24V channel Over-temperature Protection Threshold: 90℃

Material Composition PCB Substrate: High-TG flame-retardant FR-4 thick power board High-power switching power tubes High-capacity isolation transformer High-current filter inductance and capacitor bank Multi-channel protection logic chip High-speed cooling fan Cold-rolled steel metal shell with electrostatic insulation coating Surge suppression components and fast fuse

Structural Features Standard pluggable power module structure, compatible with the installation slot of 51309252 series power supply. Front panel is equipped with power indicator light, fault indicator light, over-temperature indicator light and fan fault indicator light. AC input and DC output terminals are separated on the front panel with clear polarity marking. Internal high-voltage and low-voltage areas are separated by high-insulation barrier. Large-area heat sink is attached to power switching devices, with forced air cooling channel.

Working Principle The AC input power passes through input filter and rectifier circuit, then enters high-frequency switching circuit. The isolation transformer converts high-frequency energy into two groups of independent DC power after rectification and filtering. The closed-loop feedback circuit adjusts the switching duty cycle dynamically to keep output voltage stable. The sampling circuit monitors voltage, current and temperature in real time. When parameters exceed the threshold, the protection circuit stops switching action and cuts off power output. The fault warning signal is transmitted to the IOP module for system alarm display.

Installation Requirements Insert the module vertically into the dedicated power slot of UCN rack and tighten fixing screws. Connect AC input cable and reliable protective grounding wire. Test the output voltage under no-load condition before connecting all I/O cards. For redundant configuration, install two modules in parallel on the same rack to share load. Keep the air inlet and outlet of the fan unobstructed and regularly clean the dust filter screen.

Precautions Cut off the AC input power before maintenance to avoid electric shock risk. The total load power of the rack I/O cards shall not exceed the rated power of this power module. When the fan fails, stop using the module immediately to prevent overheating damage. This module can replace 51309252-175 directly, and the rack wiring does not need modification. Lightning surge on the power grid will cause permanent damage to internal power devices.
