Description
Honeywell 620-0041
Technical Specifications Nominal impedance 75Ω; rated power suitable for LCN signal level; equipped with BNC male connector for direct connection to LCN coaxial cable; operating temperature -20℃ to 70℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃; relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing; shielded metal shell; impedance tolerance within LCN network design requirement.
Functional Features It provides precise 75Ω impedance matching for the two ends of LCN coaxial trunk. It eliminates high-speed signal reflection caused by cable end impedance discontinuity. It reduces bit error rate and communication frame loss of LCN 5Mbps bus. It adopts integrated BNC connector for direct plugging without field soldering. It has metal shielding shell to resist cabinet electromagnetic interference. It is the only approved termination component for LCN trunk endpoints.
Application Scenarios LCN bus end termination for refinery TDC3000 control network; impedance matching assembly for chemical plant TPS system LCN trunk cable; spare termination resistor for petrochemical plant legacy DCS LCN network maintenance; network end accessory for power plant old Honeywell universal station LCN trunk.
Performance Parameters Impedance value remains stable under cabinet temperature variation; BNC connector contact resistance stays low under long-term vibration; shielding shell suppresses external electromagnetic interference to internal resistor element; power rating fully meets LCN low-level signal requirement.
Material Composition Internal resistor element is high stability metal film resistor; connector shell is nickel-plated brass; BNC contact pins are gold-plated copper; outer shielding shell is zinc alloy; insulating part adopts high-frequency low-loss plastic.
Structural Characteristics Small cylindrical integrated assembly; one end fitted with BNC male plug for LCN coaxial cable BNC female port; sealed shielding structure; compact size, suitable for installation at cabinet LCN trunk terminal point.
Working Principle High-speed 5Mbps differential signal propagates along 75Ω LCN coaxial trunk. If the cable end is open, signal reflects back along the cable and interferes with normal communication signal. When 620-0041 termination resistor is connected at the physical end of trunk, the resistor matches the characteristic impedance of coaxial cable, absorbs the arriving signal energy and eliminates reflection, ensuring clean signal waveform received by each LCN node.
Installation Requirements Only install this termination assembly at the two absolute physical endpoints of LCN main trunk. Do not install extra termination resistors at branch nodes. Tighten the BNC connector to avoid loose contact. Do not use ordinary 75Ω resistor without BNC connector as substitute. Keep the connector away from oil and corrosive gas in cabinet.
Usage Notes Only two termination assemblies are allowed on one complete LCN trunk. Extra termination resistors will cause network overload and communication failure. Check BNC connector corrosion and looseness when LCN communication intermittent fault occurs. Do not use 50Ω network terminator to replace this 75Ω LCN termination assembly.
