Technical Specifications SPDT single pole double throw contact configuration; Top plunger actuator type; Rated switching current 15A; Max AC switching voltage 480V; Operating temperature -30°C to +85°C; IP65 ingress protection rating with boot seal; 20mm conduit port; Screw terminal connection type; Snap action contact mechanism.
Functional Features Highly reliable snap spring quick-action switching mechanism; Enclosed metal housing resists dust and liquid splash; Mechanical plunger actuator directly senses physical contact motion; Separate normally open and normally closed contacts for dual signal feedback; Wide operating temperature range adapts to outdoor and factory workshop environment; CE, CSA global certification.
Application Scenarios Conveyor belt travel limit detection; Machine tool stroke end position protection; Packaging machinery position feedback; Material handling equipment limit interlock; Elevator and lifting machinery safety limit; Offline industrial equipment mechanical position monitoring.
Performance Parameters Contact switching response maintains consistent speed; Mechanical operation cycle life reaches high number of actuations; Contact resistance stays stable after repeated actuation; Actuator overtravel tolerance meets specification; Vibration resistance adapts to industrial machinery operation.
Material Composition Die cast aluminum housing with electrostatic epoxy coating; Rubber sealing boot for plunger; Copper alloy internal contact elements; Stainless steel spring for snap action mechanism; Plastic internal insulation frame; Metal screw terminals; Rubber sealing gaskets.
Structural Features Rectangular metal enclosed housing; Top mounted spring loaded plunger actuator; Internal snap spring contact assembly; Side threaded conduit entry port; Internal terminal chamber with screw terminals; Mounting holes on housing base for fixed installation.
Working Principle When mechanical moving part presses the plunger actuator, internal snap spring mechanism triggers rapid contact switching. The normally open and normally closed contacts change state simultaneously and generate discrete electrical signal for control system. When external mechanical force releases from plunger, internal spring pushes plunger back to original position and contacts reset automatically. The metal housing and rubber boot block dust and moisture from entering internal contact cavity.
Installation Requirements Mount switch on rigid equipment bracket using specified mounting hardware; Align actuator with moving mechanical part to ensure sufficient actuation stroke; Route field cable through conduit port and tighten cable gland; Tighten screw terminals to recommended torque; Keep actuator aligned perpendicular to moving contact surface.
Precautions for Use Do not apply excessive impact force to plunger actuator; Avoid continuous overtravel compression beyond rated stroke; Prevent corrosive gas exposure to housing and actuator seal; Inspect sealing boot for wear during periodic maintenance; Verify contact wiring against NO/NC schematic before commissioning.
