Description
Honeywell CC-PCNT02
Technical Specifications Main memory: 64 MB; user program memory:16 MB; dual FTE Ethernet ports; two independent I/O link interfaces; redundant switchover time less than 200 ms for high-speed variant; operating temperature range -40 ℃ to +70 ℃; supports firmware upgrade through Experion engineering station; integrated time synchronization function.
Functional Features Supports complex advanced process control calculations and large-scale sequence logic; hot standby redundancy with bumpless transfer; enhanced diagnostic information for I/O links and network ports; supports control strategy online download and partial program replacement; records extended fault log including timing sequence of pre-fault process parameters.
Application Scenarios Critical main control loops of power plant boilers, large chemical reactor control, LNG terminal process control, pharmaceutical continuous production DCS cabinets.
Material Composition High Tg FR4 multilayer PCB; industrial-grade high-speed processor chip; gold-plated backplane contact pins; flame-retardant plastic front frame; circuit board with anti-condensation conformal coating.
Structural Characteristics Same rack footprint as CC-PCNT01; front panel LED indicators for power, active/standby status, fault and network health; rear gold finger interface compatible with CC-PCNT01 IOTA assembly; internal power isolation circuit reduces crosstalk between control logic and communication circuits.
Working Principle The controller synchronizes configuration and real-time database with its redundant partner continuously. When primary controller fails, the standby unit takes over control without process interruption. It collects analog and digital signals from I/O racks, executes control algorithms and distributes output commands to field termination modules.
Installation Requirements Mount on standard Series C IOTA base; confirm firmware version compatibility with Experion PKS release; separate network cables and field signal cables inside cabinet; ensure cabinet grounding resistance meets Honeywell DCS specification.
Operation Notes Back up control database before firmware upgrade; do not hot-swap the module while the control rack is powered; check network switch FTE configuration after replacement; perform redundancy switchover test after commissioning.
