Honeywell CC-TAIX11

Product Introduction CC-TAIX11 is redundant HART high-level analog input IOTA termination base of Honeywell Experion PKS Series C I/O system. It pairs with redundant HART analog input IOM modules, supporting 1:1 redundant I/O configuration for critical 4-20mA HART measurement loops. It provides centralized field transmitter wiring, HART signal coupling, noise filtering and surge protection. It allows hot-swap of either redundant IOM card without cutting off field instrument power and measurement signal, applied to important process control loops requiring high availability.

Honeywell CC-TAIX11

Technical Specifications 16 channels of redundant HART high-level analog signal termination; compatible with 4-20mA HART field transmitters; built-in independent HART coupling circuit for each channel; rated loop voltage 24VDC; per-channel RC filter and transient suppression components; power supplied by rack 24VDC backplane; operating temperature 0℃ to 60℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃; relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing; supports dual redundant IOM connection; rack slot installation; UL, CE and Class I Division 2 hazardous area certification.

Functional Features It concentrates critical HART transmitter field wiring onto labeled screw terminals. It realizes HART digital signal coupling on 4-20mA analog loop for bidirectional instrument communication. It suppresses voltage surge and high-frequency electromagnetic interference on field measurement cables. It routes analog and HART signals to two redundant IOM modules simultaneously via backplane. It supports hot-swap of primary or standby IOM module without field wiring disconnection. It carries channel fault diagnosis to detect transmitter open circuit and loop short circuit.

Application Scenarios Redundant flow and pressure HART transmitter termination for refinery main process control cabinets; critical reactor temperature and pressure signal junction for chemical plant interlock DCS; redundant liquid level measurement wiring base for oil storage tank farm control systems; important process variable termination for offshore platform production control cabinets.

Performance Parameters HART communication performance remains stable under redundant IOM switching; analog 4-20mA signal linearity is not affected by redundant circuit; transient suppression circuit works normally during IOM hot-swap; fault diagnosis signal uploads to Experion operator station within controller scan cycle.

Material Composition Base housing uses flame-retardant PC plastic; internal circuit board adopts FR4 flame-retardant PCB with conformal coating; terminal conductive components are tin-plated copper alloy; HART coupling and surge protection components are industrial wide-temperature grade; backplane connector pins are gold-plated; metal locking bracket uses anti-rust coated cold rolled steel.

Structural Characteristics Rack-mounted redundant termination base; front panel printed with channel number, signal type and terminal labels; rear dual backplane connector interfaces for primary and standby IOM modules; fool-proof keying notch to prevent mismatched non-HART IOM insertion; side elastic latches for fastening to rack rail; terminal area designed for heavy field cable wiring.

Working Principle Field critical HART transmitters connect to the screw terminals of CC-TAIX11. The composite analog and HART signal passes through surge clamping and passive filtering circuits. The built-in coupling circuit separates HART digital signal and analog current, and transmits signal to both redundant IOM electronic cards through backplane. The IOTA only completes wiring, signal protection and HART coupling. When one IOM fails, the other redundant module continues collecting measurement data without loop interruption.

Installation Requirements Install the termination base on standard Experion rack rails. Confirm mechanical key matches redundant HART analog input IOM module. Use shielded twisted pair cable for HART transmitter wiring. Separate analog HART cables and high-current AC power cables. Tighten terminal screws to the torque specified in Honeywell installation manual. Ensure cabinet single-point grounding.

Usage Notes Do not use this redundant HART IOTA for non-HART low-level temperature sensors. Test redundant bumpless switchover function after installation and commissioning. Wear anti-static wrist strap when replacing IOM modules. Do not energize incompatible signal types to terminal blocks. Check HART online status and measurement value consistency after maintenance.
