Description
Honeywell CC-TAIX51
Technical Specifications 16 channels of high-level analog signal termination; supports 4-20mA HART transmitter signals; built-in HART signal coupling circuit; rated signal loop voltage 24VDC; passive RC noise filter for each channel; on-board transient voltage suppression components; operating temperature 0℃ to 60℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃; relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing; non-redundant single IOM matching; rack slot mounting; UL and CE certification.
Functional Features It collects HART transmitter field cables to standard screw terminal blocks. It superimposes HART digital communication signal on 4-20mA analog current loop. It filters high-frequency interference noise on analog measurement lines. It suppresses transient surge voltage introduced from field instrument cables. It transmits analog measurement value and HART digital data to the paired high-level AI IOM module. It supports HART device parameter reading, tag viewing and remote calibration through Experion engineering software.
Application Scenarios Non-redundant pressure and flow transmitter wiring termination for chemical plant control cabinets; HART instrument signal junction for refinery auxiliary measurement points; liquid level transmitter termination for water treatment DCS systems; conventional analog signal wiring base for building automation control systems.
Performance Parameters HART signal coupling circuit does not affect the linearity of 4-20mA analog signal; analog measurement linearity error stays within module specification; transient suppression response time is nanosecond level; HART communication baud rate matches the standard HART protocol.
Material Composition Main base housing uses flame-retardant engineering plastic; internal circuit board is FR4 high-temperature flame-retardant PCB with conformal coating; terminal screws and shrapnel are tin-plated copper alloy; HART coupling capacitors and surge devices are industrial grade; backplane connector pins are gold-plated; metal fixing brackets use cold-rolled steel with anti-rust coating.
Structural Characteristics Single-width horizontal rack base; front panel with channel marking labels and screw terminals; rear integrated backplane connector for mating with single IOM electronic card; fool-proof keying structure to prevent inserting non-HART IOM modules; side elastic latches for locking to rack rail; front terminal layout reserved enough space for cable wiring.
Working Principle Field HART transmitters connect to the screw terminals on CC-TAIX51. The 4-20mA analog signal carrying process variable and superimposed HART digital signal pass through surge suppression and filtering circuits. The HART coupling circuit separates digital HART signal and analog current signal, then transmits both to the upper IOM module through backplane connector. The IOTA does not convert analog signal, only realizes wiring concentration, signal protection and HART signal coupling.
Installation Requirements Mount the base on standard Experion rack rails. Confirm keying notch matches HART high-level AI IOM module before installation. Use shielded twisted pair cable for HART transmitter wiring. Separate HART signal cables and high-power AC cables in cabinet wiring channels. Torque terminal screws to the specified torque value. Cabinet protective grounding resistance ≤4Ω.
Usage Notes Do not connect low-level millivolt or RTD signal to this HART high-level IOTA. Confirm HART instrument loop resistance meets communication requirement before commissioning. Wear anti-static wrist strap during IOM module replacement. Do not remove the IOTA base while HART instrument loops are energized. Verify HART communication online status after wiring modification.
