Description
Honeywell CC-TDIL11
Technical Specifications 32 channels of 24VDC digital input termination; rated input voltage 24VDC; supports dry contact and active 24VDC field signals; built-in transient suppression diodes for each channel; power supply 24VDC from rack backplane; operating temperature 0℃ to 60℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃; relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing; redundant IOM pair compatible; rack slot mounting; UL, CE and Class I Division 2 certification.
Functional Features It concentrates 32 channels of field discrete device wiring to numbered screw terminals. It absorbs reverse electromotive force and voltage surge induced from field switch cables. It routes digital status signals to redundant paired digital input IOM modules via backplane connector. It supports hot-swap of either IOM module in the redundant pair without disconnecting field wiring. It provides channel open-circuit diagnostic function for field contact circuits. Clear channel marking reduces wiring error during commissioning and maintenance.
Application Scenarios Redundant switch feedback signal termination for refinery ESD auxiliary cabinets; valve limit switch signal junction for chemical plant interlock systems; pump and fan running status input termination for power plant DCS; critical discrete signal wiring base for offshore platform control cabinets.
Performance Parameters Transient suppression components clamp overvoltage within rated working range; signal transmission delay has no influence on discrete state recognition; terminal contact resistance maintains stable value under long-term cabinet vibration; fault diagnostic information uploads to Experion station within one controller scan cycle.
Material Composition Housing material is flame retardant polycarbonate; circuit substrate is FR4 flame retardant PCB with conformal coating; terminal conductive parts and screws adopt tin-plated copper alloy; transient suppression semiconductor devices are industrial grade; backplane connector pins are gold-plated; metal locking clip is zinc-plated cold rolled steel.
Structural Characteristics Redundant rack-mount termination base; front face with numbered screw terminals and channel function labels; rear integrated backplane connector interface for dual redundant IOM cards; fool-proof keying notch to prevent mismatched module installation; side elastic latches for fastening to rack; compact layout to save cabinet wiring space.
Working Principle Field switch and proximity sensor wires connect to the terminal blocks of CC-TDIL11. Input signals pass through built-in surge suppression circuits, then transmit to the two redundant digital input IOM modules simultaneously through backplane. The base only transfers and protects discrete signals, and does not perform logic judgment. The diagnostic circuit monitors channel line state and sends fault information to paired IOM modules.
Installation Requirements Install the IOTA base on standard Experion rack rails. Tighten all field terminal screws to the torque value specified in Honeywell installation manual. Route discrete signal cables separately from analog signal cables and high-voltage power cables. Confirm the mechanical key matches redundant digital input IOM card. Maintain reliable cabinet protective grounding.
Usage Notes Do not connect AC high voltage signal to 24VDC digital input terminals. Verify field signal polarity before powering on the channel. Wear anti-static wrist strap when replacing redundant IOM modules. Do not remove the IOTA base while field cables are energized. Check terminal tightness regularly after long-time operation.
