Structural Features Standard compact plug-in I/O module form factor for Safety Manager rack. Front panel integrates power, fault and two channel LED indicators. Side anti-misalignment notch prevents reverse insertion. Rear gold finger contacts connect to rack backplane bus. Internal circuit adopts dual redundant circuit layout for safety cross-checking. Analog output circuit zone is separated from digital logic zone to reduce interference. Lock clip fixes module firmly on rack slot.
Working Principle Safety Manager controller sends digital setpoint command to module via backplane bus. The dual redundant DAC chips convert digital value into analog current signal. The sampling circuit feeds back actual output current value to logic core. The module compares expected output value and measured feedback value continuously. If deviation exceeds threshold, the module triggers fault alarm and switches output to pre-configured safe state. The output current drives field valve positioner through FTA termination wiring.
Installation Requirements Power off rack before inserting module. Align notch and insert into vacant I/O slot, lock buckle. Connect field actuator shielded twisted pair cable to matched FTA terminal block. Configure output range, safe state value and diagnostic parameters in Safety Manager engineering software. Power on rack and calibrate 4-20mA output range. Separate analog signal cable from high frequency inverter cable.
Usage Notes Do not connect inductive load directly to output terminals without surge protection. The maximum load resistance cannot exceed 750 ohm. Static protection must be worn during module replacement. Do not apply AC voltage to output wiring terminals. Verify safe state configuration before commissioning safety loop.
