HONEYWELL TC-PRR021

Product Introduction: TC-PRR021 is dedicated redundancy synchronization module for Honeywell Experion PKS C200 controller. It realizes real-time data synchronization and bumpless switchover between primary and standby C200 control processors. It continuously copies control logic, process variables and internal status data from primary processor to standby processor. When primary processor fails, it triggers instant switchover to standby processor without disrupting continuous process control. It is the core hardware to build 1:1 redundant C200 controller architecture.

Technical Specifications Rack backplane power supply; Dedicated high-speed redundancy synchronization bus; Real-time state mirroring between two processors; Support bumpless controller switchover; Rack plug-in design for C200 controller rack; Hardware fault self-diagnosis circuit.

Functional Features Complete high-speed data synchronization between primary and standby C200 processor; Maintain identical internal control logic and process value for redundant processor pair; Monitor health status of both primary and standby controller; Initiate automatic bumpless switchover upon primary processor failure; Upload redundancy state and synchronization fault alarm to Experion operator station; Isolate fault between two processors to prevent cross failure propagation; Support manual forced switchover operation for maintenance test.

Application Scenarios Petrochemical, chemical and power plant Experion PKS C200 controller cabinets; Critical production units requiring zero interruption of control logic; High availability DCS control systems with redundant controller configuration.

Performance Parameters Operating temperature range 0℃ to 60℃; Relative humidity 5% to 95%, non-condensing; Fast data synchronization speed; Switchover completes without disturbance to control loop; Comply with industrial EMC standards for control cabinet environment.

Material Composition FR-4 multilayer industrial printed circuit board; Gold-plated backplane edge connectors; High-speed data processing chips; Data buffer memory chips; Surge suppression components; Anti-static flame retardant plastic front panel.

Structural Features Standard rack plug-in card structure; Front panel fitted with LED indicators for power, synchronization status and fault alarm; Rear gold fingers connect rack backplane bus; Dedicated redundancy communication interface; Anti-reverse insertion positioning notch; Model and revision printed clearly on card surface.

Working Principle The module establishes high-speed synchronization link between primary and standby C200 processor. It continuously reads real-time control data, calculated process values and internal register status from primary processor, then transmits and writes all data into standby processor memory. Diagnostic circuit monitors operating status of both processors in real time. Once primary processor has hardware failure, communication loss or power abnormality, the module triggers switchover. Standby processor takes over all control tasks immediately, and sends redundancy switchover event alarm to DCS system.

Installation Requirements Wear anti-static wrist strap during disassembly and assembly; Insert the card into designated rack slot and lock fixing screw tightly; Install matched redundancy cable between two C200 processors; Complete cabinet protective grounding and verify grounding quality; Confirm hardware version matches C200 controller firmware; Set redundancy configuration parameters in Experion engineering station after installation.

Precautions for Use Do not plug or unplug the module under power-on state; Keep redundancy cable separated from high-power power cables; Regularly check panel LED synchronization indicator status; Do not use unmatched hardware revision for redundant processor pair; Execute redundancy function test after module replacement.
