Description

Honeywell TC-SWCS30C300

Technical Specifications Multiple 10/100Mbps auto-negotiation Ethernet ports; supports IEEE 802.3 standard; supports VLAN configuration, port priority and broadcast storm suppression; redundant power input 24VDC; operating temperature 0℃ to 60℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃; relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing; rack slot mounting; UL and CE certification.

Functional Features It forwards real-time control messages between DCS nodes with low transmission delay. It supports port status monitoring and link fault diagnosis. It configures message priority to guarantee control frame transmission precedence over non-critical data. It supports redundant network path switching. It uploads port offline and network storm alarm information to Experion system. It provides port MAC address learning and table management.

Application Scenarios Control network data exchange for chemical plant Experion PKS main control cabinets; redundant network switch for power plant C200 controller rack; network communication module for refinery auxiliary DCS cabinets.

Performance Parameters Control frame forwarding latency maintains stable low value under full port load; link fault detection completes within millisecond level; port bandwidth meets DCS control network traffic requirement.

Material Composition Main switching circuit board adopts FR4 flame-retardant PCB with conformal coating; main switching chip is industrial wide-temperature grade Ethernet processor; RJ45 connector pins are gold-plated; module shell is powder-coated aluminum alloy; internal heat dissipation components are aluminum heat sink.

Structural Characteristics Vertical plug-in rack switch module; front panel with multiple RJ45 Ethernet ports and power, run, link and fault LED indicators; dual 24VDC redundant power input terminals; side elastic locking latches; passive convection cooling structure.

Working Principle After power-on, the module completes firmware loading and port hardware self-test. It learns source MAC address of each received Ethernet frame and builds port address table. It forwards control message to the target port according to destination MAC address. When one network link fails, the redundant topology protocol switches data flow to standby path without control communication interruption. It monitors port link status and reports abnormal link loss to DCS alarm system.

Installation Requirements Insert the switch module into dedicated network slot of Experion rack and lock latches. Use industrial shielded Ethernet cable for node connection. Configure VLAN and QoS parameters in Experion engineering station. Keep ventilation space around module shell. Ensure reliable cabinet grounding.

Usage Notes Do not connect office non-control network equipment to control network ports. Wear anti-static wrist strap during module replacement. Check port link LED status after cable connection. Do not modify advanced switch parameters without Honeywell engineering guidance.
