  • Status LED indicators for channel and module health

Working Principle Each of the 40 input channels is processed through three independent paths within the module. The sigma-delta input circuits measure field voltage on each path, and the results are compared against user-configurable thresholds. A voting mechanism determines the final reported state. If one path disagrees with the other two, the module continues operating on the majority vote while flagging the discrepancy for maintenance. Line monitoring circuits inject test signals to detect wiring faults.

Installation Requirements

  • Install in Trusted TMR chassis with proper slot alignment
  • Connect 24 VDC field power within specified range
  • Use shielded cables for field wiring to prevent electromagnetic interference
  • Ensure proper grounding of chassis and cable shields
  • Configure input thresholds per channel based on field device characteristics

Operating Precautions

  • Verify field voltage remains within 20 to 32 VDC range
  • Configure line monitoring only when compatible field devices are installed
  • Monitor module health indicators regularly
  • Replace modules showing persistent fault flags promptly
  • Maintain backup of channel configuration parameters
