Structural Features: Standard Trusted I/O module form factor, inserted into available I/O slots of the Trusted I/O chassis. Mechanical keying prevents insertion into incorrect slots. Front panel features channel status LEDs and module-level fault/health indicators. Field connections are made through removable Field Termination Assemblies (FTA).
Working Principle: The TMR architecture processes each analog output command through three independent channels. A hardware voter determines the correct output state based on majority agreement. Each output channel contains a voting array for the output switch, providing fault-tolerant uninterrupted control even under output switch fault conditions.
Installation Requirements:
- Install in Trusted I/O chassis with adequate ventilation
- Maintain proper spacing for airflow and service access
- Use recommended Field Termination Assemblies and follow isolation specifications
- All field wiring to use ferruled conductors with correct labeling
- Route analog output wiring separately from VFD and high-current cables
Usage Notes:
- Disconnect load power before making wiring changes
- Verify permissive and bypass status during hot-swap operations
- Follow Management of Change (MOC) and Lockout/Tagout (LoTo) procedures
- Perform regular channel function tests and check terminal tightness
- Use dry air for routine maintenance dust removal
- Keep at least one spare module per cabinet, stored in anti-static packaging
