Working Principle The drive processes motion commands through its internal controller, executing trajectory generation and servo loop closure locally. The digital signal processor calculates current commands based on position or velocity setpoints, then drives the three-phase PWM output stage to deliver controlled current to the servo motor. Feedback from motor-mounted encoders or resolvers closes the position loop, enabling accurate point-to-point positioning without external controllers.
Installation Requirements
- Mount in ventilated electrical enclosure
- Connect to appropriate AC or DC power supply per configuration label
- Use shielded cables for motor power and feedback signals
- Ensure proper grounding of chassis and cable shields
Operating Precautions
- Verify supply voltage matches drive nameplate rating before energizing
- Configure current limits to match connected motor thermal ratings
- Monitor drive status indicators during commissioning
- Maintain backup of motion programs and parameter settings
