METSO A413110

Product Brief Introduction: A413110 is an 8-channel analog input module for METSO Damatic XD DCS system. It collects analog measurement signals from field transmitters and sensors, converts analog signals into digital data, and sends digital values to rack processor via backplane bus. This module supports multiple signal types including current, voltage, RTD and thermocouple. It provides channel-level signal diagnosis and galvanic isolation to protect DCS system from field electrical interference.

Structural Characteristics Standard METSO DCS plug-in card form factor. Rear gold plated edge connector plugs into rack backplane. Front panel fitted with extraction handle and LED indicator window. PCB layout separates analog signal conditioning area and digital communication area to reduce electromagnetic crosstalk. Each channel has independent signal conditioning circuit. All circuit boards are coated with three-proof conformal coating.

Working Principle Field analog signal enters A413110 through terminal block. Signal conditioning circuit filters noise and adjusts signal amplitude to match ADC input range. ADC converts analog signal into digital numerical value. Onboard logic chip reads digital data and sends measurement value to DCS processor via rack backplane bus. The module continuously checks signal amplitude and wire integrity. When wire break, short circuit or signal overrange occurs, fault flag is generated and uploaded to DCS system.

Installation Requirements

  1. Insert A413110 into rack guide slot, push fully and lock front handle.
  2. Use shielded twisted pair cable for field sensor wiring. Separate analog signal cable from high voltage power cable.
  3. Configure signal type, measurement range and filter parameters for each channel in METSO engineering workstation.
  4. Complete loop calibration and point test before online commissioning.
  5. Ensure cabinet protective grounding is reliable, grounding resistance less than 4 ohms.
  6. Keep cabinet ventilation path unobstructed.

Usage Precautions

  1. Do not connect high voltage signal to analog input terminals. Overvoltage damages channel circuit.
  2. Verify RTD or thermocouple wiring polarity before power on. Reverse connection creates measurement error.
  3. Hot swap operation must follow METSO official maintenance procedure.
  4. Do not touch gold plated connector pins by hand.
  5. No field repairable components. Replace whole module upon failure.
  6. Prevent metal debris falling into rack slot during installation.
