Metso D201381

Product Introduction D201381 is the standard uncoated master processor module for Metso MAX DCS rack system. It shares identical core control hardware and logic functions with D201380L, without conformal PCB coating. It undertakes rack-level control computation, I/O management and supervisory data communication in clean, dry industrial control rooms.

Description

Metso D201381

Technical Specifications Power supply from rack 28 V DC backplane; high-speed internal rack bus interface; redundant communication support; operating ambient temperature -20 ℃ to +70 ℃; uncoated FR4 PCB; rack plug-in compatible with Metso MAX backplane; front panel LED indicators for run, fault and network state; non-volatile flash memory for user control logic; hardware watchdog circuit.

Functional Features Cyclic execution of continuous control and discrete sequence logic; data polling of all I/O modules installed in the same rack; alarm generation and event time stamping; online configuration modification and program download; redundant master hot standby switching; self-diagnosis of internal memory, clock and bus hardware faults.

Application Scenarios Central control room DCS racks in mineral processing plants, power auxiliary system control cabinets, clean-environment paper mill central control rooms, Metso MAX DCS spare parts replacement.

Material Composition Flame-retardant plastic module housing; uncoated FR4 multilayer main control PCB; industrial memory and processor semiconductors; gold-plated backplane edge connector; aluminium alloy heat sink; front panel plastic light guide and status LED components.

Structural Characteristics Horizontal rack plug-in mechanical structure, footprint fully compatible with D201380L; front panel equipped with status LED bank and service port; rear edge connector connects to rack backplane; internal thermal structure relies on cabinet natural convection.

Working Principle The module boots from flash memory after power is applied to the rack. The processor scans all rack I/O modules in fixed cycles, executes PID and interlock logic, and sends output commands to analogue and digital output modules. It transmits process data to operator stations and receives parameter modification commands from engineering workstations.

Installation Requirements Install module in de-energised Metso MAX rack; secure module latch after seating; connect cabinet protective earth; maintain cabinet ventilation to keep temperature within rated range; verify redundant network wiring termination before power-up.

Operation Notes Do not deploy this uncoated model in cabinets with condensation, corrosive vapour or heavy dust; export program and configuration files before maintenance; replace the module immediately if continuous fault alarm activates.
