Description
Metso D201435L
Technical Specifications Field output rated for 24 V DC discrete signals; per-channel optocoupler isolation between rack bus and field circuit; per-channel on-state LED indicator; rack 28 V DC backplane power supply; operating temperature -20 ℃ to +70 ℃; PCB conformal coating; rack plug-in form factor; output channel overcurrent and short-circuit protection.
Functional Features Optical isolation blocks field noise and ground potential difference; per-channel status indication; hardware overcurrent shutdown for faulted output channels; cyclic state refresh synchronised with DCS control cycle; configurable fail-safe state when rack communication is lost; channel fault reporting to DCS controller.
Application Scenarios Pulp mill valve solenoid drive, mining conveyor auxiliary actuator control, water treatment pump discrete start-stop output, paper machine safety auxiliary relay control.
Material Composition Flame-retardant plastic module housing; FR4 digital output PCB with acrylic conformal coating; optocoupler isolation chips; surge suppression diodes; gold-plated rack backplane edge connector; removable screw terminal blocks for field actuator wiring.
Structural Characteristics Horizontal rack plug-in module; front panel contains per-channel LED indicators and removable field wiring terminal block; rear gold finger mates with Metso MAX rack backplane; isolation barrier separates rack digital logic ground and field 24 V signal ground.
Working Principle Rack CPU sends digital output state values over the backplane bus. The module latches these logic values and drives optocoupler output stages to switch field 24 V DC loads. If output channel short circuit occurs, internal protection circuit cuts off the channel and sends fault message back to the CPU.
Installation Requirements Insert module into unpowered Metso MAX rack; wire field solenoids and relay coils to channel terminals; separate field output cables from high-current inverter power cables; tighten terminal screws to specified torque value.
Operation Notes Disable related output channels before field circuit maintenance; inspect terminal blocks for corrosion regularly in pulp mill environments; confirm field load current stays within per-channel rating.
