Metso D201436L

Product Introduction D201436L is a conformal coated rack digital input module designed for Metso MAX DCS. It collects 24 V DC discrete feedback signals from field limit switches, proximity sensors and valve position contacts, converts field signal states into digital data and transmits to rack CPU over backplane bus. Conformal coating provides anti-moisture and anti-corrosion protection.

Metso D201436L

Technical Specifications Field input signal level 24 V DC; optocoupler isolation per channel; per-channel LED status indication; rack 28 V DC backplane power supply; operating temperature -20 ℃ to +70 ℃; PCB conformal coating; rack plug-in compatible with Metso MAX backplane; built-in contact debounce filtering and transient surge protection.

Functional Features Optical isolation eliminates ground loop interference from field equipment; configurable digital input debounce time for mechanical contact signals; per-channel fault diagnosis for abnormal voltage; cyclic input state refresh to rack CPU; front panel LED visual status for commissioning and troubleshooting.

Application Scenarios Mining crusher limit switch signal acquisition, pulp mill valve position feedback monitoring, conveyor emergency stop contact collection, chemical plant interlock switch signal input.

Material Composition Flame-retardant plastic enclosure; FR4 signal PCB with acrylic conformal coating; optocoupler isolation components; transient suppression devices; gold-plated rack backplane connector; removable screw terminal blocks for field sensor wiring.

Structural Characteristics Rack plug-in form; front panel carries per-channel LED indicators and detachable field terminal block; rear gold finger connects to Metso MAX internal backplane bus; opto-isolation barrier separates field 24 V circuit and rack logic circuit.

Working Principle Field 24 V DC contact signals pass through optocoupler isolation components and are converted into logic levels on the module digital side. Configurable debounce filter eliminates mechanical contact bounce noise. Stabilised input states are packaged into digital data frames and sent to the rack CPU each control cycle.

Installation Requirements Install module in de-energised Metso MAX rack; wire field switches and proximity sensors to corresponding channel terminals; set debounce parameters in DCS engineering software; run long-distance field sensor cables with shielded twisted pair.

Operation Notes Verify field 24 V supply polarity before energising input circuits; check LED channel status during commissioning to locate open or short wiring faults; avoid scratching conformal coating during module removal.
