Functional Features 5-slot compact PXIe chassis supports installation of multiple PXIe instrument modules. Integrated high-speed PXIe backplane provides high bandwidth data transmission between modules and system controller. Built-in regulated power supply provides stable multi-channel DC power to all installed PXIe modules. PXI trigger bus and star trigger function realize precise time synchronization among modules. Variable speed fan adjusts airflow automatically according to internal temperature to reduce noise. Built-in fan and temperature monitoring circuit, fault indicator activates for fan failure or overtemperature. Supports PXIe system controller or remote controller via MXI interface. Metal chassis housing provides electromagnetic shielding for internal modules.

Application Scenarios Laboratory small automated test system, portable electronic component test bench, university measurement and control experiment platform, aerospace small component validation test, factory small batch production test station.

Performance Parameters Built-in power supply can provide full rated power for all 5 slots when loaded with compatible PXIe modules. Backplane maintains high-speed data transmission without packet loss under rated operating temperature. Temperature monitoring circuit detects internal temperature rise and triggers alarm when exceeding threshold. Variable speed fan maintains proper cooling airflow and reduces acoustic noise under light load. Metal housing restrains electromagnetic emission and improves anti-interference capability. Trigger bus keeps stable synchronization timing between multi-module measurement tasks.

Material Composition Chassis Housing: Cold rolled steel sheet with powder coating. Backplane Board: FR4 multi-layer printed circuit board with gold-plated slot connectors. Core Electronic Components: Switching power supply unit, fan speed control IC, temperature sensor, PXIe backplane switching chip, protection fuse. Connectors: Gold-plated PXIe slot edge connectors, AC power input socket. Cooling Components: Centrifugal cooling fan. Indicator Components: Power LED and fan fault LED. Fasteners: Steel screws and metal mounting brackets.

Structural Features Compact rectangular metal cabinet structure for desktop placement. Front panel carries AC power switch, power status LED and fan fault LED indicator. Internal horizontal slot layout for PXIe 3U modules. Rear panel equipped with AC power inlet, grounding terminal and ventilation outlet. Built-in backplane fixed at rear of module slots, gold-plated connectors for PXIe modules. Fan installed at air inlet side, airflow flows through each module from front to rear. Metal housing provides full electromagnetic shielding.

Working Principle AC mains power enters chassis internal switching power supply unit through rear power inlet. Power supply converts AC input to multi-group regulated DC power and supplies to PXIe backplane. When PXIe modules are inserted into slots, modules obtain DC power and PXIe bus connection from backplane. Backplane provides high-speed PXIe data bus, trigger bus and star trigger line for each slot. Temperature sensor continuously monitors internal chassis temperature. Fan control circuit adjusts fan rotation speed according to measured temperature to maintain stable internal temperature. If fan stops or internal temperature exceeds limit, monitoring circuit activates fault LED indicator. PXIe controller communicates with each instrument module through backplane high-speed bus, and realizes multi-module synchronous measurement via trigger bus.

Installation Requirements Place chassis on stable flat desktop or install into standard equipment rack. Connect protective earth ground wire to chassis grounding terminal. Plug AC power cord to rear power inlet and mains power source. Power off chassis before inserting or removing PXIe modules. Insert PXIe modules into empty slots, lock front panel screws. Keep front air inlet and rear air outlet free from blockage, reserve ventilation clearance. Power on chassis, check power LED and fan operation status. Install NI hardware management software on host controller and identify chassis.

Usage Precautions Keep air inlet and air outlet unobstructed, stacking objects on chassis surface is forbidden. Connect protective earth grounding reliably for safety and EMC performance. Cut off AC mains power before plugging or unplugging internal PXIe modules. Do not operate in environment with condensation, corrosive gas and conductive dust. Regularly clean dust accumulated on fan and air filter. Do not open chassis metal housing without professional authorization, internal high voltage power circuit exists. Shut down chassis immediately once overtemperature or fan fault alarm appears.
