- Working Principle:
The HMI executes a compiled PB610 project stored in Flash. It cyclically exchanges process data (tags) with the connected controller via selected communication driver(s). Operator inputs (button presses, setpoint changes) are written to controller registers; process values read from the controller update screen objects (numeric displays, bar graphs, animated symbols) at the configured refresh rate.
- Installation Requirements:
- Cut rectangular opening per dimensional drawing (276 × 221 mm)
- Secure with four mounting clamps; ensure uniform gasket compression for IP65
- Connect 24 V DC supply (observe polarity), shield and ground signal cables separately
- Download PB610 project via Ethernet or USB before commissioning
- Precautions:
- Do NOT clean front with abrasive or solvent-based cleaners — use soft cloth with mild detergent
- Avoid sharp objects on resistive touchscreen
- Ensure proper earth grounding of panel and cabinet to prevent ESD damage
- Backlight dimming can be configured to extend LED lifetime in 24/7 applications
