Working Principle The probe operates through eddy-current induction. The coil within the probe tip generates a high-frequency magnetic field when driven by the Proximitor sensor. A conductive target entering this field induces eddy currents that alter the coil impedance. This impedance change is detected and converted by the Proximitor into a voltage signal directly proportional to the physical gap between probe and target.
Installation Requirements
- Install in M10×1 threaded hole perpendicular to shaft surface
- Ensure 100 mm mounting depth availability
- Set initial gap to 1.0 mm
- Verify -10 Vdc gap voltage
- Route cable with minimum 25.4 mm bend radius
- Use compatible NSv extension cables if additional length required
