- 1.0 meter integral coaxial cable
- Standard ClickLoc miniature connector
- PPS probe tip with molded bond
Working Principle The probe operates on the same eddy-current principle as standard mount probes. The internal coil generates a high-frequency magnetic field at the probe tip. Eddy currents induced in the target modify the coil impedance, which the Proximitor converts into a proportional voltage. The reverse mount configuration simply relocates the sensing tip to the opposite end of the case, allowing the threaded body to be inserted from the target side.
Installation Requirements
- Install from inside machine housing through 3/8-24 UNF hole
- Ensure 2 mm unthreaded section positions correctly relative to target
- Set gap to 1.0 mm from target surface
- Verify -10 Vdc gap voltage
- Secure with locknut from outside housing
- Maintain cable bend radius minimums
Usage Precautions
- Verify reverse mount orientation before installation
- Ensure adequate internal clearance for probe body insertion
- Do not force through undersized holes
- Check O-ring seal integrity if present
- Verify external locknut torque does not damage case
- Route cable to avoid contact with rotating components
