Description
Foxboro P0924JH
Technical Specifications
- Processor: 32-bit industrial-grade RISC microprocessor.
- Execution Speed: 0.1 microseconds per boolean instruction; 0.5 microseconds per floating-point instruction.
- Memory: 8 MB program memory and 4 MB data memory.
- Communication: 100 Mbps Fiber Optic Ethernet for control network; supports Modbus TCP/IP, ControlNet, and Ethernet/IP.
- I/O Capacity: Supports up to 32 Series 200 FBMs natively, expandable to 128 FBMs via FEM100.
Functional Features
- Fault-Tolerant Redundancy: Features a dual-module parallel architecture with bit-by-bit data matching. In the event of a primary hardware failure, the backup module takes over seamlessly without process disruption.
- High-Speed Processing: Executes up to 10,000 control blocks per second with scan rates as fast as 50 ms.
- Real-Time Data Acquisition: Continuously collects temperature, pressure, and flow variables with integrated alarm detection and notification.
- Broad Compatibility: Fully compatible with Foxboro I/A Series FBMs and上位机 monitoring software like InTouch and Wonderware System Platform.
Application Scenarios
Deployed in critical process industries including oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, water treatment, and pharmaceuticals, where high availability and deterministic control are mandatory.
Performance Parameters
- Power Supply: 24 VDC, 10 W typical consumption, supports redundant power.
- Operating Temperature: 0°C to 60°C.
- Storage Temperature: -40°C to 85°C.
- Protection Rating: IP20, G3 harsh environment certified.
Material Composition
Enclosed in a rugged, die-cast aluminum housing that provides excellent electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and thermal dissipation. Internal PCBs are conformal-coated for environmental protection.
Structural Characteristics
Compact modular design (140 mm x 165 mm x 45 mm, 0.6 kg) with front-panel LEDs for power, run, fault, and redundancy status. Integrates fiber optic and Ethernet ports for seamless network connectivity.
Working Principle
The P0924JH continuously polls connected FBMs for process data, executes the user-defined control strategy in real-time, and writes control outputs back to the FBMs. In redundant configurations, both processors run in parallel, synchronizing memory states; if a discrepancy or failure is detected, the healthy processor assumes control instantly.
Installation Requirements
Must be installed in a properly grounded control cabinet. Requires standard 100 Mbps multimode fiber optic cabling for network connection. Ensure adequate ventilation and maintain ambient temperature within specified limits.
Usage Precautions
Always ensure the redundant power supply is active. When replacing a fault-tolerant pair, verify synchronization status before removing the faulty module. Avoid exposing the module to direct sunlight or extreme thermal shock.
