Technical Specifications
- Product Type: Control Processor Module.
- System Compatibility: Foxboro I/A Series DCS.
- Functions: Executes control strategies, manages communication, coordinates subsystems.
- Processor Configuration: Supports single or dual (fault-tolerant) configurations.
- Input Voltage: 24 VDC (supports redundant supply).
- Power Consumption: Approximately 8.5 W per module.
Functional Features
- Fault Tolerance: Supports dual processors and redundant power for mission-critical applications, ensuring zero process disruption during hardware failures.
- Self-Diagnostics: Comprehensive built-in self-test routines continuously monitor hardware health.
- High-Speed Processing: Capable of executing complex control algorithms with minimal scan times.
- Seamless Integration: Fully compatible with Foxboro I/A Series software and engineering tools.
Application Scenarios
Widely used in oil and gas, chemical plants, power generation, pulp and paper, and water treatment facilities as the primary controller for process units and skid-mounted packages.
Performance Parameters
- Operating Temperature: 0°C to +60°C.
- Storage Temperature: –40°C to +85°C.
- Humidity Range: 5% – 95% non-condensing.
Material Composition
Rugged industrial enclosure with NEMA/IEC ratings. Internal components are selected for high MTBF and conformal-coated for environmental protection.
Structural Characteristics
Compact modular form factor designed for rack mounting. Features front-panel LEDs for Power, Run, Fault, and Redundancy status.
Working Principle
Continuously polls connected I/O modules, executes the user-defined control strategy in a deterministic cyclic scan, and writes control outputs. In redundant setups, the primary and secondary processors synchronize memory states in real-time.
Installation Requirements
Install in a properly grounded control cabinet. Connect redundant Ethernet networks and verify power supply redundancy.
Usage Precautions
Never remove a processor module without first disabling it in the control software. Keep firmware and control software versions strictly compatible.
