- Electrical Rating: Rated for standard industrial control voltages and currents.
- Channel Mapping: Direct 1-to-1 channel mapping to the corresponding FBM.
Functional Features
- Signal Distribution: Efficiently routes field signals to the FBM without requiring external terminal blocks.
- Hot-Swappable Support: Designed to allow the electronic FBM to be replaced without disturbing field wiring.
- Shield Grounding: Provides dedicated grounding points for cable shields to minimize electromagnetic interference.
- Clear Identification: Features integrated labeling areas for easy circuit identification and troubleshooting.
Application Scenarios
Widely used across all I/A Series applications in petrochemical plants, refineries, power generation, and water treatment facilities where reliable field wiring is essential.
Performance Parameters
- Contact Resistance: Ultra-low resistance to ensure signal integrity.
- Vibration Tolerance: High mechanical stability in vibrating industrial environments.
Material Composition
Constructed from high-grade, flame-retardant thermoplastics for the insulating body, and premium copper-alloy contacts with anti-corrosion plating for long-term reliability.
Structural Characteristics
- Form Factor: Compact, low-profile adapter design.
- Mounting: Secures directly to the control panel backplate or DIN rail.
- Termination: Utilizes compression or screw-type terminals for secure wire retention.
Working Principle
The PO400DL acts as a passive electrical bridge. Field wires are terminated to the adapter’s terminals, and when the FBM is plugged in, the adapter’s internal contact pins align with the FBM’s edge connector, completing the circuit seamlessly.
Installation Requirements
- Must be securely mounted to a solid backplate to prevent mechanical stress.
- Field wires must be properly stripped and terminated with appropriate ferrules.
- Ensure the correct orientation when plugging in the electronic FBM.
Usage Precautions
- Always verify that the FBM is fully seated and locked into the adapter before energizing.
- Do not exceed the rated voltage and current limits of the terminal contacts.
- Inspect contacts for wear or corrosion during scheduled maintenance.
