Description
GE 469-P1-HI-A20-E Technical Specifications:
- Control Power Supply: High range (HI) supporting 90 to 300 VDC or 70 to 265 VAC at 48-62 Hz.
- CT Compatibility: “P1” designation indicates compatibility with 1 A secondary phase Current Transformers (CTs).
- Communication: RS232 port for direct connection to a laptop running EnerVista 469 software.
- Display: Expanded 40-character alphanumeric LCD screen.
- Inputs/Outputs: Redesigned keypad for setpoint editing and multiple LED status indicators.
Functional Features:
- Motor Health Monitoring: Continuously evaluates motor health, providing early detection of rotor issues and configurable alarms to reduce troubleshooting time.
- Comprehensive Protection: Offers protection against overcurrent, undercurrent, voltage unbalance, phase loss, and thermal overload.
- Self-Assessment: Capable of self-evaluation to ensure the relay itself is functioning correctly.
- Software Integration: Seamlessly integrates with EnerVista 469 software for advanced configuration, data trending, and event retrieval.
Application Scenarios:
- Protection of large induction and synchronous motors in petrochemical plants.
- Motor management in water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Critical drive applications in mining and heavy manufacturing.
Material Composition & Structural Characteristics:
- Conformal Coating: A thin polymer layer applied to the internal PCB to protect against environmental contaminants.
- Enhanced Panel: Divided into four functional sections including the display, keypad, status LEDs, and communication port.
- Enclosure: Ruggedized industrial housing designed for panel mounting.
Working Principle: The relay continuously samples voltage and current signals from external CTs and PTs. Its internal microprocessor calculates real-time electrical and thermal parameters. These values are compared against user-defined setpoints. If an anomaly is detected, the relay executes pre-programmed logic to trip circuit breakers or trigger alarms, thereby preventing catastrophic motor failure.
Installation Requirements:
- CT Matching: Ensure all connected CTs have a 1 A secondary rating. Using mismatched 5 A CTs will cause severe measurement errors and potential system damage.
- Wiring: Use shielded cables for all analog and communication connections to prevent electromagnetic interference.
- Power: Connect the control power supply within the specified 70-265 VAC or 90-300 VDC range.
Usage Precautions:
- Software Configuration: Utilize the EnerVista 469 software rather than the front-panel keypad for complex configurations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Environmental Limits: While the conformal coating provides protection, the ambient temperature must still remain within the manufacturer’s specified operating limits.
- Maintenance: Periodically verify CT connections and relay operation during scheduled maintenance outages.
