- Isolation: 1500 VAC (1 minute) between input and outputs
- Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 60 °C
Functional Features:
- Provides high current to fully populated RX7i racks
- LEDs for Field OK, Output OK, and Overtemp status
- Airflow sensor detects fan failure; can trigger Overtemp LED
- Logic-level switch controls outputs without cutting AC input
- A and B series variants with different fuse types for service flexibility
Application Scenarios:
- Large RX7i configurations with high I/O and option module counts
- Process plants with high availability and redundancy requirements
- Applications with power-hungry communication and motion control modules
Performance Parameters:
- High output current ensures stable operation under heavy loads
- Advanced protection reduces risk of damage from electrical faults
- Efficient design minimizes heat generation
Material and Structural Characteristics:
- Single-slot module with robust terminal connectors
- Designed for forced-air cooling; requires compatible rack fan tray
- Industrial-grade components with optional conformal coating
Working Principle: The module converts wide-range input to tightly regulated DC outputs, monitors operating conditions, and shuts down or limits output when faults occur. It also issues sequencing signals for controlled module startup. Installation Requirements:
- Install in slot 0 of an RX7i rack
- Ensure adequate airflow; rack should include a 70 CFM fan tray
- Use appropriate wire gauges for input connections and grounding
- Verify jumper settings for airflow sensor if used
Usage Notes:
- Do not operate without adequate cooling
- Monitor Overtemp LED for airflow or cooling issues
- Replace fuses with the specified type and rating after an event
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance
