GE PCIE-5565PIORC-10000

Product Introduction PCIE-5565PIORC-10000 is a reflective memory card from GE Intelligent Platforms (now Abaco) in PCI Express form. The card enables high-speed shared memory data exchange between real-time distributed nodes with sub-microsecond transfer delay and no software protocol overhead. Used in hardware-in-the-loop simulation, distributed control, and semi-physical test systems.

Working Principle Each node maps a local 128 MB memory to a global address space. Writes to local memory are automatically broadcast in hardware to corresponding memory on all other nodes in <500 ns. The fiber ring connects all nodes; node faults are automatically bypassed. Interrupts notify data arrival.

Installation Requirements

  • With PC power off, insert into PCIe slot
  • Clean LC fiber ends
  • Close fiber ring into a loop
  • Grounding
  • Temperature 0 °C to +70 °C
  • Install driver and set node ID after power-up
  • Sufficient fiber bend radius

Precautions

  • Never touch fiber end faces
  • Ring must be closed loop
  • Node IDs must be unique
  • Store spares in dust-proof packaging
  • Wear ESD wrist strap
  • Cap fiber connectors
