Working Principle
Under normal conditions, current flows through the closed contacts. During an overload, a bimetallic strip heats and bends to mechanically trip the latch. During a short circuit, an electromagnetic coil generates sufficient force to instantly unlatch and open the contacts.
Installation Requirements
Must be installed in a compatible GE panelboard or enclosure by a qualified electrician. Line and load terminals must be torqued to the manufacturer’s exact specifications to prevent hot spots.
Usage Precautions
