Description
GE THHQB113030A120
Technical Specifications
- Rated Current: 30 Amps
- Poles: 3-Pole
- Voltage Rating: 120V / 240V AC
- Interrupting Capacity: Standard industrial interrupting rating
Functional Features
- Overcurrent Protection: Automatically trips during overload or short-circuit conditions to protect downstream equipment.
- Manual Switching: Serves as a manual disconnect switch for maintenance and isolation purposes.
- Thermal-Magnetic Trip: Combines thermal protection for overloads and magnetic protection for short circuits.
Application Scenarios
Industrial motor control centers, commercial building power distribution panels, and machinery protection circuits.
Performance Parameters
- Trip Curve: Standard thermal-magnetic characteristic for balanced motor and feeder protection.
- Mechanical Life: Rated for thousands of open/close operations.
Material Composition
Housed in a high-strength, flame-retardant thermoset plastic enclosure with silver-alloy contacts for superior conductivity.
Structural Characteristics
Standard bolt-on or plug-in mounting configuration with clearly marked line and load terminals.
Working Principle
Under normal conditions, current flows through the contacts. During an overload, a bimetallic strip heats and bends to trip the mechanism. During a short circuit, an electromagnetic coil generates sufficient force to instantly open the contacts.
Installation Requirements
Must be installed in a compatible GE panelboard by a qualified electrician. Ensure proper torque specifications are applied to line and load terminals.
Usage Precautions
Never exceed the rated current or voltage. Always de-energize the panel before installation. Perform regular maintenance testing to verify trip functionality.
