Working Principle: The module interfaces with the UR relay CPU via the internal backplane bus. The CPU energizes or de-energizes the six Form-A output relays based on protection logic and FlexLogic equations. The four digital inputs sense external contact states (voltage presence or absence) and report them to the CPU. The module’s digital data processing reduces electrical noise and improves system reliability compared to analog alternatives. Installation Requirements:
- Open the hinged front panel of the UR relay to access the module rack
- Insert the UR6UH module into the designated digital I/O slot
- Connect field wiring to the rear terminal blocks per schematics
- Configure output and input assignments using EnerVista UR software
- Verify contact and input operation during commissioning
Usage Notes:
- Verify the module’s output form (Form-A, non-monitored) matches the application requirements
- For applications requiring output monitoring, select a monitored variant
- Ensure the UR relay firmware version is compatible with the module
- Use EnerVista UR software for configuration and diagnostics
- Periodically test output contacts and input response
