HIMA F3430

Product Introduction The F3430 is SIL3 certified 4-channel relay safety output module for HIMatrix safety control system. It uses mechanical relay contacts to provide safety switching output up to 110VDC for field safety equipment. It receives safety commands from safety CPU, controls relay contact on and off state, and carries out continuous diagnosis on relay channel, wiring and contact state. It serves as safety trip output for emergency shutdown and safety interlock applications.

Structural Characteristics

  • Vertical modular rack unit compatible with HIMatrix F35 rack system.
  • Front panel fitted with LED indicators for module and channel status.
  • Lower terminal block for field safety load wiring.
  • Rear gold-plated connector inserts into safety backplane bus.
  • Internal circuit layout separates high voltage relay load circuit and safety logic circuit.
  • Dual independent diagnostic circuits verify relay and wiring integrity.

Working Principle Safety CPU sends safety commands to F3430 module via safety backplane bus. The module energizes or de-energizes relay coil according to safety command, so relay contact closes or opens to control field safety load. The diagnostic circuit monitors coil current and contact feedback continuously to detect wire break, short circuit and relay contact failure. When fault is detected, module sends fault report to safety controller and triggers LED fault indicator.

Installation Requirements

  • Install module into HIMatrix F35 DIN rail rack.
  • Use shielded twisted pair cable for field safety load wiring.
  • Separate safety relay wiring from high power motor cables.
  • Complete protective earth connection for rack and cabinet.
  • Verify wiring polarity and load specification for field equipment.
  • Perform channel fault simulation test after installation.
  • Check backplane bus connection before power energization.

Usage Notes

  • Do not hot plug module outside approved hot-swap configuration.
  • Do not exceed rated voltage and current specification of relay contacts.
  • Add surge suppression components for inductive loads connected to relay contacts.
  • Keep cabinet dry and free of corrosive gas and conductive dust.
  • Execute periodic SIL proof test according to safety procedure.
  • Disconnect field wiring before high voltage insulation test.
  • Replace module immediately when relay contact sticking or burning occurs.
