Description
HIMA Z7138
Technical Specifications: Number of output channels: 8 relay output channels Rated switching voltage: 250VAC / 30VDC Rated switching current: 5A per channel Isolation voltage: 2500VAC between field side and system side Bus interface: HIMax internal safety bus Power supply: 24VDC from system backplane Diagnostic coverage: 99% SIL certification: SIL3
Functional Features: Comprehensive channel diagnostic for relay contact fault, open circuit and short circuit. Force de-energize safe state for safety interlock. Galvanic isolation between field circuit and safety controller. Hot swap capability, module replacement without system shutdown. Continuous on-line self-test during operation. Fault status reporting to host safety controller.
Application Scenarios: Oil & gas emergency shutdown systems, chemical plant safety interlock, power plant boiler protection, offshore platform safety control, fire and gas detection systems, refinery process safety control.
Performance Parameters: Response time less than 100ms. Service life of relay contacts up to 100,000 operations at rated load. Mean time to dangerous failure low value.
Material Composition: FR4 high reliability circuit board. Industrial sealed safety relays. Metal shield shell. Plastic front panel with status LED. Gold plated backplane connector.
Structural Features: Standard HIMax rack module form factor. Front panel with individual LED indicator for each channel. Screw terminal block for field wiring. Backplane connector for internal safety bus communication. Shielding structure to resist electromagnetic interference.
Working Principle: The safety controller sends safety logic commands through internal bus to Z7138 module. The module drives internal safety relays to switch field load circuits. Built-in diagnostic circuit continuously monitors relay coil and contact status. Any detected fault will trigger fault signal to safety CPU and set outputs to predefined safe state.
Installation Requirements: Install in HIMA HIMax safety rack. Module insertion direction strictly follow rack marking. Field wiring use twisted shielded cables. Terminals must be tightened to specified torque value. Control cabinet temperature maintained within 0℃ to 60℃.
Usage Notes: Only certified spare modules can be used for replacement. Do not exceed rated voltage and current of relay contacts. Verify safety logic after module replacement. Do not operate module outside certified environmental range. Carry out periodic function test according to safety operation procedure.
