Honeywell 51204126-915

Product Introduction 51204126-915 is high-performance redundant DC power supply module designed exclusively for Honeywell Experion PKS C300 controller rack. It converts AC input power into stable low-noise 24VDC output to supply power for controller, I/O modules, communication cards and rack backplane. It supports N+1 redundant parallel configuration, and realizes automatic bumpless power switchover when one power unit fails. It is the core power source of critical DCS control cabinets in continuous process industries.

Description

Honeywell 51204126-915

Technical Specifications AC input range 85VAC to 264VAC; rated DC output 24VDC, 10A; power efficiency higher than 88%; built-in overvoltage, overcurrent, over-temperature and short-circuit protection circuits; output ripple and noise controlled within industrial DCS requirement; operating temperature 0℃ to 60℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃; relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing; hot-swap capable; rack slot mounting; UL, CE and Class I Division 2 hazardous area certification.

Functional Features It converts wide-range alternating current input into regulated 24VDC power for C300 rack loads. It supports parallel redundant operation with multiple identical modules. It automatically balances output current among redundant power units. It triggers protection and shuts down output when overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit or over-temperature fault occurs. It uploads power status, fault alarm and health diagnostic data to Experion system. It supports hot-swap replacement in running rack without cutting off cabinet power supply.

Application Scenarios Redundant power supply for refinery C300 main control cabinets; power source for chemical plant Experion PKS controller racks; power supply module for power plant auxiliary DCS control cabinets; redundant power replacement spare for offshore platform C300 control racks.

Performance Parameters Output voltage regulation precision remains within ±1% under full load and input voltage fluctuation; redundant switchover time is less than 10ms to ensure continuous DCS operation; over-temperature protection point is fixed at the upper limit of rated operating temperature; output short-circuit protection will not cause permanent module damage after fault removal.

Material Composition Module housing adopts metal shell with powder coating for electromagnetic shielding; internal power conversion board uses multi-layer FR4 PCB with conformal coating; main power switching components are industrial grade power semiconductors; output terminal shrapnel is tin-plated copper alloy; internal heat sink is aluminum alloy; insulating material is high flame retardant plastic.

Structural Characteristics Vertical plug-in power module for C300 rack dedicated power slot; front panel equipped with AC power, DC output and fault LED indicators; AC input and DC output screw terminals arranged on front panel; built-in aluminum passive heat sink for heat dissipation; side elastic locking latches for fixing to rack; internal air duct for convection cooling.

Working Principle Alternating current enters the module through front input terminals, passes through EMI filter, rectifier and switching power conversion circuit, and outputs stabilized 24VDC direct current. Multiple 51204126-915 modules connected in parallel share rack load current. When one module detects internal fatal fault, it stops output automatically, and other redundant modules bear total load without power interruption. The diagnostic circuit continuously monitors input voltage, output current and internal temperature, and reports abnormal state to DCS.

Installation Requirements Insert the power module into the dedicated power slot of C300 rack and lock the side latches. Confirm AC input voltage matches module specification before wiring. Tighten AC and DC terminal screws to specified torque. Maintain sufficient upper and lower ventilation clearance of the module. Do not block the cooling air duct with cable bundles. Cabinet protective grounding resistance ≤4Ω.

Usage Notes Do not exceed the maximum total load current of parallel redundant power group. Wear anti-static wrist strap during hot-swap replacement. Do not operate the module with ventilation openings blocked. Verify redundant power switchover function by simulating AC input loss after installation. Isolate AC input power before disassembling module wiring.
