Working Principle: The base unit provides the physical and electrical infrastructure for processor module installation. It distributes power from the 24 VDC input to mounted modules and facilitates high-speed communication between processors and I/O modules through the internal backplane bus. The Ethernet ports enable network connectivity for each processor module, supporting distributed control architectures.
Installation Requirements:
- Mount in standard industrial enclosure
- Connect ground stud to AC safety ground busbar using minimum 12 AWG wire
- Use M6 lug on ground wire with torque of 1.2 Nm to 2 Nm
- Install processor modules in designated slots
- Connect I/O base units to right-hand side for Bus 1 or left-hand side via T9310 for Bus 2
- Ensure adequate ventilation for thermal management
