Structural Characteristics: Compact DIN-rail or panel-mount form factor with dimensions of approximately 54.8mm wide × 175mm tall × 131.6mm deep (AC version). The DC input version features a narrower profile. All connectors and LED status indicators are accessible from the front panel.
Working Principle: The S200 drive employs sinusoidal current control with space vector modulation (SVM) to generate smooth three-phase currents for the connected brushless servo motor. The drive receives feedback from the Smart Feedback Device (SFD) or resolver, processes position and velocity information through nested control loops (current → velocity → position), and outputs PWM signals to the power stage to precisely control motor torque, speed, and position.
Installation Requirements:
- Mount in a well-ventilated enclosure with ambient temperature not exceeding 40°C
- Maintain minimum clearance for convection cooling airflow
- Use shielded motor cables with proper grounding
- Connect DC bus input with correct polarity
- Ensure control power is connected separately for E-Stop recovery functionality
Usage Notes:
- The “D” suffix indicates DC input; do not connect AC mains directly to this drive
- Verify motor and drive current ratings are properly matched before commissioning
- Use the Windows GUI software for initial parameter configuration
- The SFD auto-tuning feature eliminates the need for manual loop tuning in most applications
- Inspect connector tightness periodically to prevent intermittent connections
