Description
Metso D201380L
Technical Specifications Power supply sourced from rack 28 V DC backplane; dedicated internal rack bus for high-speed I/O data exchange; redundant communication interface support; operating ambient temperature -20 ℃ to +70 ℃; PCB with full conformal coating; rack plug-in mechanical form factor compatible with Metso MAX rack backplane; front panel multi-color LED indicators for run, fault, communication and redundant status; non-volatile flash memory for control program, recipe and configuration storage; hardware watchdog timer for system fault reset.
Functional Features Deterministic cyclic control task scheduling for process loops; redundant master backup function for uninterrupted control operation; real-time data collection from analogue and digital I/O modules; built-in fault diagnosis for memory, bus and program execution errors; event and alarm timestamp recording; support for configuration download and online program modification from engineering station; isolated communication circuits to suppress field ground loop interference.
Application Scenarios Pulp and paper machine main control racks, mineral flotation and crushing process control systems, wastewater treatment large-scale DCS control cabinets, legacy Metso MAX system spare replacement and retrofit.
Material Composition Flame-retardant reinforced plastic module housing; high-density FR4 multilayer control PCB coated with acrylic conformal coating; industrial-grade flash and RAM memory chips; gold-plated rack backplane edge connector; aluminium heat sink for main processor heat dissipation; front panel translucent light guide for LED status display.
Structural Characteristics Horizontal rack plug-in module layout; front panel integrates status LED array and service communication port; rear gold finger connector mates with Metso MAX internal backplane bus; internal layout separates high-speed processor core circuits and field communication interface circuits; heat sink aligns with cabinet natural convection airflow path.
Working Principle After rack power-on, the module loads control program and system configuration from flash memory. The processor runs fixed-cycle control tasks, reads measurement values from I/O modules over the rack backplane bus, executes control algorithms and calculates output setpoints. It transmits process alarms and historical event data to the supervisory network. The watchdog circuit monitors program operation, and triggers automatic reset if abnormal execution occurs.
Installation Requirements Insert module only into fully de-energised Metso MAX rack slot; lock module retaining mechanism after insertion; connect rack protective earth terminal to cabinet ground bar; maintain minimum clearance around the module for heat dissipation; complete redundant network wiring according to system topology rules before commissioning.
Operation Notes Back up all control programs and configuration databases before module replacement; avoid scraping conformal coating during module extraction and handling; do not operate the module outside the rated ambient temperature range; inspect communication LED indicators to diagnose network link failures.
