Metso D201832

Product Introduction D201832 is the standard uncoated integrated rack power supply module for Metso MAX DCS AP31 RT node racks. It converts input AC or DC mains power into multiple isolated regulated DC rails to supply the rack backplane for CPU, I/O and communication modules. This base model is designed for dry, clean control room environments without corrosive vapour.

Description

Metso D201832

Technical Specifications Wide-range AC/DC universal input; multiple isolated stabilised DC output rails for rack logic circuits; rated output power matches AP31 RT node rack power budget; operating ambient temperature -20 ℃ to +70 ℃; uncoated FR4 power PCB; rack plug-in form factor compatible with Metso MAX AP31 rack backplane; built-in independent per-rail overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature shutdown protection; front panel multi-status LED indicators.

Functional Features Multi-isolated power rail design reduces cross-talk between analogue, digital and communication circuits; automatic shutdown and fault LED alarm during overvoltage, overcurrent or over-temperature events; input surge suppression for industrial grid transients; continuous power regulation under rated load; fast discharge circuit for internal capacitors after power removal.

Application Scenarios Central control room Metso MAX AP31 remote I/O racks, power plant auxiliary DCS cabinets, clean water treatment control racks, legacy Metso MAX system spare replacement.

Material Composition Flame-retardant plastic module housing; uncoated high-density FR4 power PCB; power switching semiconductors; aluminium alloy heat sink for power device cooling; gold-plated rack backplane edge connector; screw terminal blocks for mains input wiring; metal electromagnetic shielding cans.

Structural Characteristics Horizontal rack plug-in module; front panel integrates status LED array and mains input terminal block; rear gold finger connector mates with AP31 rack backplane; internal compartment separation between high-voltage input section and low-voltage output section.

Working Principle After mains power feeds into the module’s input terminals, the switching power circuit carries out rectification, filtering and voltage transformation. Multiple isolated DC voltage outputs are generated and delivered to the rack backplane. Internal monitoring circuits track output voltage, load current and component temperature. Protection circuits activate and cut off output once parameters exceed rated limits.

Installation Requirements Install module only when rack power is fully disconnected; secure module latch after seating; connect protective earth terminal to cabinet ground bar; reserve ventilation space around heat sink; confirm total rack load power stays below module rated output.

Operation Notes Do not operate this uncoated model in cabinets with condensation or corrosive gas; inspect input terminals for loose connections during routine maintenance; shut down rack power before power supply replacement.
