Working Principle
The PLX32-MBTCP-SIE maps data between Modbus TCP/IP registers and Siemens Industrial Ethernet data blocks. One Ethernet port connects to the Modbus TCP/IP network, and the other connects to the Siemens Industrial Ethernet network. The gateway reads and writes data according to configured command lists, converts protocol formats, and maintains separate subnets for each side. Configuration can be stored on an SD card for backup and recovery, and diagnostic information is available through status indicators and configuration software.
Installation Requirements
Install in a suitable industrial control cabinet
Mount on DIN rail according to ProSoft installation guidelines
Connect the Modbus TCP/IP port to the Modbus network
Connect the Siemens Industrial Ethernet port to the Siemens network
Provide 10 to 36 VDC power supply
Configure IP addresses, command lists, and data mapping
Insert SD card if configuration backup is required
Verify subnet separation and routing requirements
Check LED status indicators after power-up
Usage Precautions
Do not connect both Ethernet ports to the same subnet unless required by configuration
Verify Siemens PLC compatibility before deployment
Keep firmware and configuration consistent with the system design
Protect the SD card slot from dust and moisture
Use shielded Ethernet cables in noisy industrial environments
Avoid exceeding the rated power supply voltage
Perform configuration backup before major changes
Refer to the official ProSoft PLX32-MBTCP-SIE manual for final technical limits
