Description
GE IC200MDL632
Technical Specifications & Performance Parameters: This module provides 16 discrete isolated input points with a basic on/off response time of 0.5 milliseconds. To compensate for noise pulses or switch bounce, software-configurable input filtering is available at 0 ms, 1.0 ms, or 7.0 ms, resulting in total response times of 0.5 ms, 1.5 ms, and 7.5 ms respectively. The default filter time is set to 1.0 ms. It operates using power supplied directly from the backplane and delivers 16-bit discrete input data to the CPU or Network Interface Unit (NIU).
Functional Features: Each input channel features an independent green LED indicator that displays the on/off status, requiring backplane power to function. The module supports both positive logic (sourcing current from the input device) and negative logic (sinking current to the input device). Its high isolation rating effectively blocks ground loop interference, ensuring stable data transmission in electrically noisy environments.
Application Scenarios: This module is widely deployed in heavy industrial applications such as wind power pitch control systems, substation automation, and high-voltage manufacturing equipment where 125VDC control signals are standard.
Installation Requirements & Usage Notes: Installation requires a compatible VersaMax carrier. Proper wiring practices must be followed to maintain the integrity of the isolation barriers. Users should configure the appropriate filtering time in the software based on the specific characteristics of the field devices to prevent false triggering.
