- Gas turbine inlet temperature (TIT) monitoring
- Exhaust gas temperature measurement
- Bearing and winding temperature monitoring
- Boiler and furnace temperature profiling
Material Composition:
- PCB: 4-layer with thermocouple-grade low-thermal-EMF connectors
- Connectors: Gold-plated thermocouple terminal blocks
- Housing: Aluminum with EMI shield
Working Principle: Each thermocouple input is connected to a precision amplifier that measures the microvolt-level signal. The cold junction temperature is measured by an on-board sensor and used to compensate the reading. The compensated temperature is digitized by a 16-bit A/D and sent to the CPU via backplane. Installation Requirements:
- Use thermocouple extension wire of the same type as the sensor
- Maintain proper polarity at all connections
- Keep thermocouple wires away from power cables (minimum 150 mm separation)
Usage Precautions:
- Never mix thermocouple types on the same module without reconfiguration
- Verify cold junction sensor is not exposed to heat sources
- Calibrate against a reference thermometer annually
