Description
GE IC693ALG221J
- Technical Specifications:
- Channels: 2 independent analog input channels
- Input Type: Voltage or Current — software selectable
- Resolution: 12-bit (4096 counts)
- Accuracy: Plus or minus 0.2% of full scale
- Linearity: Plus or minus 0.1% of full scale
- Sampling Rate: 10 samples per second per channel
- Isolation: 500V RMS channel-to-channel, 500V RMS channel-to-bus
- Power Consumption: Approximately 1.5W
- Operating Temperature: 0°C to 60°C
- Input Impedance: 10 megohms (voltage), 250 ohms (current)
- Functional Features:
- Same 2-channel mixed-signal capability as ALG221
- Enhanced LED indicators for improved diagnostics
- Updated terminal design for easier wiring (J revision often improves terminal access)
- Compatible with all 90-30 CPUs including latest firmware revisions
- Backplane-powered
- Application Scenarios:
- Same as ALG221: mixed-signal machine control, process monitoring
- Applications requiring the latest revision for regulatory compliance
- Retrofit projects where newer revision is required
- Performance Parameters:
- Common Mode Rejection: Greater than 90dB
- Bus Speed: Genius Bus, 10Mbps
- MTBF: Greater than 150,000 hours
- Material Composition:
- Housing: UL94 V-0 ABS/polycarbonate blend
- PCB: 4-layer FR-4 with updated components
- Connectors: Gold-plated backplane connector, improved screw terminals
- Isolation: Standard opto-isolators
- Structural Features:
- Same IC693 half-width form factor as
- 2 green LEDs with improved brightness
- Updated screw terminals for easier field wiring
- DIN-rail mountable
- Working Principle:
- Identical to ALG221: voltage signals are buffered and digitized by 12-bit ADC; current signals are converted via 250 ohm shunt resistor then digitized. Digital values are transmitted to CPU via Genius Bus with optical isolation.
- Installation Requirements:
- Same as ALG221
- Verify chassis supports “J” revision module (most do)
- Use shielded twisted-pair cable
- Usage Precautions:
- Same as ALG221
- The “J” revision terminals may have different torque specifications — check the datasheet
- Do not mix revisions in the same chassis unless confirmed compatible
