Working Principle: Identical to SR489-P1-LO-A20-E, with 5 A phase CT secondary and high control power range. The relay samples generator currents and voltages, executes protection algorithms, and trips the generator breaker when setpoints are exceeded. The enhanced display and status LEDs provide comprehensive local diagnostic visibility. Communication via Modbus RTU and DNP 3.0 enables SCADA integration. Installation Requirements:
- Install in a protection relay panel using the SR drawout case
- Connect 5 A phase CTs, VTs, and ground CT per schematics
- Wire control power (90–300 V DC or 70–265 V AC)
- Connect RS-232/RS-485 to SCADA; configure Modbus RTU or DNP 3.0
- Configure setpoints using EnerVista 489 Setup software
- Verify fuse (2.5 A, 5×20 mm HRC SLO-BLO Littelfuse 215-02.5) is installed
