Honeywell 51309156-175

Product Introduction This high level analog input multiplexer module belongs to Honeywell TDC3000 TPS UCN I/O subsystem. Revision 175 delivers stable acquisition for standard 4-20mA analog transmitter signals from field instruments. It converts analog current signals into high-precision digital values, carries out signal filtering and linearization processing, and transmits sampled data to the rack IOP processor through backplane bus. It supports continuous measurement of flow, pressure, liquid level and other standard process variables for petrochemical, power and refining control loops.

Material Composition PCB Substrate: High-TG flame-retardant FR-4 multi-layer glass fiber board, analog and digital circuit partition layout High-precision ADC conversion chip Programmable filter circuit components Isolation optocoupler chips for each channel Gold-plated back edge fingers Gold-plated field terminal block contacts Cold-rolled steel front panel with electrostatic spray coating

Structural Features Standard European pluggable card structure, installed in dedicated analog I/O slot of UCN I/O rack. Front panel is equipped with run indicator light, fault indicator light and group channel fault indicator light. Field wiring terminals are arranged on the side panel for 4-20mA signal wiring. Analog signal traces adopt shielding layout to reduce external electromagnetic interference. Power circuit and signal circuit maintain independent routing to avoid crosstalk.

Working Principle 4-20mA current signals from field transmitters flow through the built-in precision sampling resistor and convert into voltage signals. The isolation circuit separates field loop and internal logic circuit. The filtered voltage signal enters the high-resolution ADC for digital conversion. The FPGA chip completes range scaling and linear processing, and converts raw digital data into standard engineering values. It sends process data and channel fault information to the rack IOP processor through backplane bus. It records open-circuit, short-circuit and over-range fault events with time stamp.

Installation Requirements Insert the module vertically into the dedicated analog I/O slot of UCN rack and tighten front panel fixing screws. Connect field transmitter shielded twisted pair cables to the corresponding terminal ports following polarity marking. Ground the shielding layer at the module side only, double-point grounding is forbidden. Download channel configuration and scaling parameters from Control Builder software after power on. Verify process value reading accuracy and zero fault alarm on the HPM diagnostic screen.

Precautions Release static electricity before plugging the module to protect high-precision analog conversion circuit. Do not apply voltage signals exceeding 24V DC to input channels, which causes permanent damage to sampling circuit. Separate analog signal cables from high-power AC cables during wiring to avoid inductive interference. Loose terminal contacts lead to signal fluctuation and false fault alarm. This module cannot directly accept thermocouple or RTD resistance signals.
