Working Principle
The WGA-200A supplies excitation voltage to a strain gage bridge sensor. When the sensor is loaded, the bridge output changes proportionally to the applied physical quantity. The amplifier converts this small differential signal into a stable measurement value, displays it on the front panel and outputs it as an analog signal. If comparison functions are enabled, the device compares the measured value with preset limits and activates relay or logic outputs accordingly.

Installation Requirements

  • Install in a dry, ventilated and vibration-controlled environment.
  • Use the correct power supply voltage specified on the nameplate.
  • Connect strain gage sensors with shielded cables.
  • Keep signal cables away from high-power cables and inverters.
  • Ground the shield according to Kyowa wiring instructions.
  • Verify sensor bridge resistance and wiring method.
  • Perform zero and sensitivity adjustment after installation.
  • Confirm that the installation environment meets the specified temperature and humidity limits.

Precautions for Use

  • Do not exceed the rated sensor excitation voltage.
  • Verify sensor compatibility before connection.
  • Avoid mechanical shock and strong electromagnetic interference.
  • Do not short-circuit or overload analog output terminals.
  • Keep connector terminals clean and properly tightened.
  • Back up or record configuration settings before replacement.
  • Perform periodic calibration for critical measurements.
  • Refer to the official Kyowa WGA-200A manual for exact wiring, configuration and maintenance procedures.
