Materials and Construction

  • Body: Anodized aluminum
  • Spool: Stainless steel
  • Seals: NBR
  • Coil: Copper magnet wire, engineering plastic bobbin
  • Solenoid tube: Stainless steel
  • Plug: DIN 43650 industrial plug

Structural Features

  • Rectangular aluminum body, bottom manifold face
  • Side coil and manual override
  • Bottom 1/4″ ports or manifold ports
  • Spring-return main spool
  • DIN plug electrical connection
  • Modular valve island multi-valve integration

Working Principle Energizing the coil produces a magnetic force that shifts the pilot spool, which controls pilot air pressure at both ends of the main spool; pressure difference moves the main spool, switching compressed air from P to A or B to drive cylinder extend or retract. De-energizing releases the spring, returning the main spool and reversing the cylinder. The manual override directly shifts the spool for commissioning without power.

Installation Requirements

  • Manifold or tubed mount with sealing gasket
  • Filter-regulate-lubricate compressed air
  • Air pressure 1.5 to 10 bar
  • Verify coil voltage before wiring
  • Tighten DIN plug
  • Temperature -5 °C to +60 °C
  • Evenly tighten manifold mounting bolts

Precautions

  • Compressed air must be filtered to 40 µm
  • Medium must contain no corrosive gas
  • Coil voltage must not exceed rating
  • Periodically inspect seal wear
  • Do not force manual override
  • Store spares in dry environment
