Working Principle
The .M110 reads digital and analog input signals from sensors, switches, and process instruments. The 32-bit processor executes the user program written in PG5 and evaluates logic, timers, counters, PID functions, and communication tasks. Output commands are sent to transistor outputs and analog output channels to control relays, valves, drives, and other actuators. Communication ports exchange data with HMIs, SCADA systems, drives, and other controllers. The module continuously monitors its own status and reports faults through LED indicators and diagnostic functions.

Installation Requirements

  • Install the module in a compatible Saia base or mounting system.
  • Supply 24 V DC within the specified tolerance.
  • Connect digital and analog field wiring according to the terminal diagram.
  • Keep signal cables separated from high-voltage power cables.
  • Configure communication parameters in PG5 before commissioning.
  • Assign I/O addresses according to the installed expansion modules.
  • Verify LED status after power-up and after downloading the program.

Precautions for Use

  • Do not exceed the 24 V DC supply limit.
  • Do not overload transistor outputs beyond 0.5 A per channel.
  • Verify analog input and output signal ranges before connecting field devices.
  • Confirm compatibility between .M110 and installed expansion modules.
  • Back up the PG5 project before firmware updates or hardware replacement.
  • Use the module only within the specified temperature and humidity range.
  • For exact terminal assignments, memory map, and protocol support, refer to the official Saia .M110 manual.
